White v. Lindbloom, Multnomah County Case No. 15CV00831

In 2013, Mr. White was walking along Jefferson Parkway in Lake Oswego. A woman attempting to park in a church lot, accidentally hit the gas rather than the brake. Her car lurched over the sidewalk and struck Mr. White.

Before the crash Mr. White had a long history of knee complaints including a prior surgery in 2006 following a previous similar car accident. His doctor in 2006 said he would need a knee replacement surgery in the future. After the 2013 crash Mr. White got his knee replaced. The at-fault driver’s insurance argued that the knee replacement was preexisting and not due to the 2013 crash. They made no offers to Mr. White. Mr. White hired Lake Oswego personal injury lawyer Chad Stavley. shortly before the scheduled trial the at-fault driver’s insurance company agreed to pay $150,000 to settle the case.
