20.080 Verdict Red Light Crash
Preston v. Muhammad, Multnomah County Case No. 18CV56840
Plaintiff Preston claimed that she was the passenger of a vehicle going eastbound on SE Stark when Defendant Muhammad ran a red light causing a collision. She claimed that the crash caused her soft-tissue sprains and strains to her back, neck, shoulder, and knee as well as headaches. She sought $2,135.20 for past medical expenses and $7,864.80 for non-economic damages. She also asked for attorney fees under ORS 20.080.
Defendant Muhammad admitted liability and that the crash caused some injury but denied the nature and extent of Preston’s injuries.
