Sparks v. Ahern, Multnomah County Case No. 18CV18922
Plaintiff Sparks was driving in the right-hand lane on OR 99E approaching SE Glenwood when Defendant Ahern attempted to merge onto 99E without yielding. Ahern ran into the side of Sparks. Sparks claimed that the crash caused injury to her head, neck, back, and shoulders, including the need for surgery to her cervical spine. She sought $45,646.00 for past medical expenses and $349,980.00 for non-economic damages.
Defendant Ahern admitted that her negligence was the cause of the crash. She disputed that the crash was the cause of Sparks’ damages.
